The longest Bridge in the Philippines

San Juanico Bridge is the longest bridge in the Philippines. It connects the islands of Samar and Leyte. It was built in the year 1973 under the Marcos administration. San Juanico Bridge has 43 spans rising 41 meters above the sea. Its longest length is a steel girder viaduct built on unbreakable concrete piers, and its main span is of an arch-shaped truss design and with a total length of 2.16 kilometers.
